Methode Electronics' water based conductive ink for thermal or piezo inkjet printing systems is the world's only system that requires no post print drying or curing/sintering processes. Methode's product number 9101, is a nano silver ink that can be printed on several types of media including various coated polymer films.
 
Typical printed properties include an electrical sheet resistance of 100 milliohms per square, excellent abrasion resistance, rub resistance and durability. Bulk resistivity is 6 times silver.
 
An inkjet developer's kit is also available which includes a thermal inkjet printer, a cartridge filled with the Methode 9101 conductive ink and sample substrates. The cartridge used in the developer's kit has the same print head used with production scale ink jet systems.
 
Methode is developing a compatible resistor ink that will be available in early 2011. This resistor ink will also be inkjet printable and can be used as a stand alone resistor or in conjunction with the 9101 conductive ink for conductor-resistor networks.

PolyIC produces printed electronics in a high-speed printing process. Printed electronics means that in a printing process electrical conducting and semi conducting plastics, so called polymers, are applied in several layers on a polyester film. The printing process is conducted in an exactly defined design so that electronic devices can be created. These devices are integrated, for example, into a RFID (radio frequency identification) tag. PolyIC's product line for RFID is called PolyID. Printed electronics makes low-cost RFID tags possible that can be used for mass applications. Furthermore, this new technology is also used in displays and complex systems, called smart objects. PolyIC sells smart objects under the name of PolyLogo.

The iPack Center is a VINNOVA Centre of Excellence established at KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) in Stockholm, funded over a ten-year period (2007-2016) by VINNOVA, KTH and partners from industry.
The center is a multi-disciplinary research platform and meeting place that establishes collaborations between Swedish forest products industry, electronic industry, in area of intelligent packaging and hybrid media.
The center develops core technologies for heterogeneous integration of bio-medical sensors, energy supplies, computing and wireless communications on fiber-based packaging and paper-boards, for innovative products such as smart bio-paper, intelligent pharmaceutical packaging and storage, intelligent patient monitoring devices.
The center coordinates around 10 multi-disciplinary research groups within KTH and the reserach institute - Innventia, and over almost 20 Swedish companies including paper and package companies (StoraEnso, Billerud, Korsnas etc), RFID and printed intelligence (e.g. Xaar) and electronic and system companies (NOTE, Imsys and Catena etc). Public actor in this center is VINNOVA. The research explores multi-disciplinary innovations encompassing self-powered ultra-low cost RFID, paper-based bio-medical sensors, printed energy cells and interactive paper functions, low cost manufacturing and integration technologies as well as manufacturability aspects.

NanoMicro-Systems Laboratory is a research lab in Konkuk University, Korea, and has developed a novel Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) inkjet print-head and integrated printing system, which allows us to eject fine (micron to sub-micron scale) droplets by drop-on-demand operation and create products of printed electronics or photovoltaic devices such as display(LCD, OLED), RFID, smart tag, organic solar cell, and DNA arrays. The EHD inkjet technology based on the direct manipulation of liquid by an electric field, instead of by indirect pumping, enables ejection of micron to sub-micron scale droplets, direct fabrication of various structures like electrode or dielectric layer, and direct deposition of functional fluids.
Recently, NanoMicro-Systems Lab founded a lab-venture company, named EnJet Inc., Ltd., which provides EHD inkjet printheads and systems. EnJet Inc. develops MEMS-based innovative EHD inkjet head, which enables to pattern multilayer and very fine geometry and create a solution of inkjet printing system and technology. NanoMicro-Systems Laboratory is a research lab in Konkuk University, Korea, and has developed a novel Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) inkjet print-head and integrated printing system, which allows us to eject fine (micron to sub-micron scale) droplets by drop-on-demand operation and create products of printed electronics or photovoltaic devices such as display(LCD, OLED), RFID, smart tag, organic solar cell, and DNA arrays. The EHD inkjet technology based on the direct manipulation of liquid by an electric field, instead of by indirect pumping, enables ejection of micron to sub-micron scale droplets, direct fabrication of various structures like electrode or dielectric layer, and direct deposition of functional fluids.
Recently, NanoMicro-Systems Lab founded a lab-venture company, named EnJet Inc., Ltd., which provides EHD inkjet printheads and systems. EnJet Inc. develops MEMS-based innovative EHD inkjet head, which enables to pattern multilayer and very fine geometry and create a solution of inkjet printing system and technology. Researchers at NUI Galway and Trinity College Dublin have developed a tunable, high aspect ratio, triangular-plate-shaped silver nanoparticle conductive ink, production-ready and already in pilot production in batch quantities on a pilot manufacturing line. A company promotion team is in the process of commercialising this technology. ArgentInkTM is a general purpose high electrical conductivity, low silver loading conductive ink suitable for all applications in printed electronics. The uniquely strong local surface plasmon resonance associated with its triangular nanoplates offers additional potential for third generation photovoltaics. Related products based on this technology have proven superior antimicrobial properties for wound care.
