Electrophoretic display (Glossary of Printed Electronic terms)

Display that relies on moving coloured particles in a viscous medium to provide a display that stays in place when the bias is removed. Limited colours but wide angle of viewing and a good candidate for the reprogrammable book. Indeed Sony has launched one.
