There are many companies based in or around Denver that are working on wireless sensors and energy harvesting. We are delighted to be able to offer tours during the masterclass days to some of these companies.

(IPS)-a U.S.-based, clean-technology company-is the global leader in developing, marketing and manufacturing solid-state, rechargeable thin-film micro-energy storage devices for a variety of micro-electronic applications. Founded in 2001, IPS is privately held with corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Littleton, Colorado. The company has completed build-out of the world's first volume manufacturing facility dedicated to the production of its revolutionary thin-film Micro-Energy Cell (MEC) products. IPS has recently commenced production activities at this state-of-the-art facility to address the growing demand among customers in the wireless sensor, active RFID, powered smart card, medical device, consumer electronics, automotive and civil/military/aerospace markets. IDTechEx are pleased to announce that attendees have the opportunity to visit the Solar Energy Research Facility (SERF) and Visitors' Center of NREL. SERF is a leading research facility whose efforts are spearheading the development of new photovoltaic technologies and applications.

The University of Colorado at Boulder is a Tier 1 research institution that received more than $280 million in sponsored research awards for the 2008 fiscal year, placing it 13th nationally and 6th among all public universities. The university has many activities related to energy harvesting, including low power electronics, RF energy harvesting, piezo electric energy harvesting and much more.

**Tours are hosted by the company, who have the right to decline someone from attending. This is beyond the control of IDTechEx and you will be informed of this as quickly as possible if this is the case.

Denver is a hub for Energy Harvesting, WSN and RTLS organizations and academic institutes.

IDTechEx is in contact with all the key organizations in the area and will be happy to facilitate an introduction for attendees.
