This presentation will discuss a high-efficiency indoor light harvester tuned to the spectrum and intensity of modern indoor lighting with low-light indoor efficiency >25% and a theoretical potential of >50%. The presentation will also discuss potential applications enabled by a technology that can generate 1mW under 1000 lux in a small 10cm2 package.
Speaker Biography (Colin Bailie)
During his graduate and post-graduate work at Stanford University, Colin performed seminal research on polycrystalline tandem solar cells. Colin was recognized for his accomplishments by inclusion in the 2016 Forbes 30 under 30 in Energy list. He founded Iris Photovoltaics to commercialize the next generation of photovoltaic materials. He is a member of the second cohort of the Cyclotron Road program in Berkeley which supports hard-tech startups and founders.
