Business Dev. & Sales Account Manager, Japan

IDTechEx is recruiting for a professional B2B sales candidate who will be in charge of the full sales cycle from business development to account management for our research, consulting and event services. This involves selling our business intelligence of different technologies and their markets in the form of subscriptions, reports, consulting and events.
IDTechEx provides independent business intelligence, strategy consulting and events in high-growth emerging technology areas such as electric vehicles, energy harvesting, advanced materials, robotics, printed electronics, Internet of Things, 3D printing, and wearable electronics.
Founded in 1999, we are a global company with bases in Japan, UK, Germany, USA and Korea.
Key job responsibilities:
  • Develop new business relationships with new prospects
  • Establish and develop strategic relationships with C-level executives
  • Nurture and grow existing business accounts based on developing trust and service value
  • Match account needs to IDTechEx services and products
  • Work closely with analysts and maintain analyst, client and industry relationships
  • Support company-wide activities , initiatives and assist event team to promote and sell company conferences and tradeshows in Japan
Job requirements:
  • Results driven, highly motivated with ability to learn quickly
  • Experience in a Sales/Business/Technology development role with proven results
  • Technical background (technical degree) and able to grasp new topics
  • Preferably has strong links to industries such as automotive, robotics, energy storage, electronics, materials and electronic manufacturing equipment
  • Positive, can-do attitude with sense of urgency
  • Fluent in Japanese and English. Excellent communication skills
  • Extensive travel in Japan.
  • Strong interest in emerging technologies and their real world applications
