How can China Play a Big Role in the Rising Era of PE Industry? (Printed Electronics Europe 2015)

Changzhou Institute of Printed Electronics for Industry is focusing on the four-platform development for the printed electronics industry. The four platforms are 1) mass production line open for everybody; 2) permanent technology and product exhibition hall; 3) China PE commercial and service web page and 4) testing center.

Zhang got his Doctor of Technology in 1995 from Helsinki University of Technology. He is one of the founders of Enfucell Ltd. and the inventor of Soft Battery, which made Enfucell as Technology Pioneer 2007 by WEF. He was nominated as one of the 10 most influential Chinese in the world 2006. He established Kunshan Printed Electronics Ltd in China 2011. He established the China Association of Printed Electronics Technology & Innovation with others. He was nominated as one of thousand-talent experts by Chinese government in 2013. In the same year, he was nominated as a dean for the Institute of Printed Electronics for Industry.

The inaugural meeting of Changzhou Printed Electronics Industry Institute (CZIPEI) was held in ChangZhou High-tech Zone(CZHTZ). Registered by CZ City and CZHTZ with RMB 50 million, this is China's first institute established by local government focusing on printed electronics industrial technology development. The first director of the institute is assumed by Dr. Zhang Xiachang, deputy secretary general of China National Innovation Association of Printed Electronics Industry . The establishment of CZIPEI marks that printed electronics technology and industry has begun to become one of the concerns for local governments seeking for economic transition and upgrading.
