Injection-molded structural electronics (IMSE) enables 3D smart plastic structures that can be thin and light, rigid or flexible, and can be mass produced today. TactoTek will present IMSE solutions that combine flexible printed circuitry, surface mount components, and injection molding to create fully integrated smart molded surfaces, and discuss the materials and techniques that make them mass producible.
Speaker Biography (Antti Keranen)
Dr. Antti Keränen is co-founder and technology leader of TactoTek. He directs R&D innovation activities, develops and maintains the IP portfolio, and communicates the company technology vision and practical applications. Antti has been a major contributor to advancing in-mold electronics technology since 2005, when he joined the VTT Technical Research Center of Finland printed electronics team. In addition to his work at TactoTek, he is an Adjunct Professor of theoretical physics at the University of Oulu where he also earned his PhD.
