Konrad will introduce a brief history of perovskite solar cells and present the scope of perovskite ink-jet printing technology being developed at Saule Technologies, with a range of potential applications
Speaker Biography (Konrad Wojciechowski)
Konrad Wojciechowski has carried out his PhD studies at the group of Professor Henry Snaith, at the University of Oxford. He was part of the team which pioneered the development of hybrid organic-inorganic metal halide perovskite materials for optoelectronic applications.
Konrad's research was primarily focused on understanding fundamental principles of the perovskite device operation and improving their performance. He contributed to the rapid development of the technology, which has tangible prospects of delivering high efficiency photovoltaics at a very low cost. As a result of this work, Konrad was nominated twice for the MIT Innovators Under 35 Poland award for the year 2015 and 2016. Konrad currently works as a Scientific Director at Saule Technologies, leading the project of processing perovskite-based devices by ink-jet printing technology.
