To make perovskites photovoltaics commercially available, the technology will need to be deposited using scalable techniques. Something that is done by only a few research groups. Using an ink approach that is compatible with a wide range of scalable deposition techniques, we demonstrate minimodules (>10 cm2) with efficiencies over 15%.
Speaker Biography (Maikel van Hest)
Dr. van Hest is currently a Senior Scientist in the Thin Film Sciences and Processing group in the National Center for Photovoltaics at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). He is the team leader for the atmospheric processing team. Dr. van Hest's current interests focus on the development of solution-deposited materials for photovoltaic (PV) applications (e.g. metals, Perovskites, OPV, CIGS and transparent conductors) and the scaling of these to large area using scalable processing methods (e.g direct-write deposition, spray deposition, blade coating, slot-die coating and rapid thermal processing).
