Presentation Summary

Flexible displays are the next revolution in the display industry. Plastic Logic has developed a technology based on organic electronics to create fully flexible, bi-stable plastic displays, which not only make mobile devices lighter, thinner and considerably more rugged, but also will radically change the way we interact with display devices, making the user experience more intuitive and natural. This presentation will give an insight into the underlying technology, including recent progress and challenges past that went into developing Plastic Logic's flexible plastic displays (colour and monochrome in different sizes) and achieving important milestones, such as the demonstration of video animation (12 fps). Flexible, bendable displays are set to transform existing markets, such as signage, wrist watches and wearable devices, automotive, as well as many others. This presentation will give an insight into some of the new concept designs and revolutionary form-factors enabled by this innovative technology.
