Manufacturing Issues Related to Fabricating a Flexible Display (Printed Electronics Europe 2007)

 

Steven Droes is currently a Senior Engineer in the LCD Process Development Group, Sharp Laboratories of America, Camas, WA. Since joining Sharp in 2000, he has been involved in a variety of research efforts relating to LCD process technology development. His experience covers many areas in LCD technology ranging from equipment installation and qualification to process development, thin film characterization, process integration, and TFT fabrication and analysis. His current research focuses on applications of wafer bonding to allow the realization of high performance transistors on a variety of substrates. Steve's educational background is in chemical engineering. He received his B.S. from the University of Nevada-Reno, the M.S. from Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tennessee, and the Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.
