Presentation Summary

Recent developments in printed electronics enable integration of stretchable electronics on textiles and in wearables. Many applications however require sensors. Here we show our progress on printed sensors. Sensors capable of measuring ECG, pressure and temperature will be discussed including how they are combined into conformable sensing surface.

Speaker Biography (Edsger Smits)

Edsger Smits received his Ph.D. from the University of Groningen in the field of organic electronics. In 2009, he joined the Holst Centre focusing oxide based electronics and the development of flexible sensors. Currently he is the program manager responsible for the "printed sensors" activities. Topics of interests include laser processing, hybrid integration, printed and stretchable electronics.
