Speaker Biography (Pallavi Shah)

Pallavi Shah is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey's Tech+IP Advisory practice. As an industry-recognized thought leader and spokesperson in technology, innovation, and intellectual property, Ms. Shah has focused on helping Fortune 100 companies and their partners monetize their innovations, bring their technologies to market, and protect their innovations through the filing of well over 100 patents. Ms. Shah has served as a Board Observer of venture-funded Silicon Valley startups, and has chaired various standards committees, including MPEG4-Java. She is also the inventor of many patents and has authored and presented multiple technical and business papers.

Speaker Biography (Julia Miller-Osborn)

Julia Miller-Osborn - Director, R&D, Celestine Materials Ltd (focus on both hard and soft technology, building and garment industries).
Originally from Dublin, Julia at a young age studied applied chemistry before running off to pick oranges in Spain and learn spanish - eventually settling on carpentry she qualified and ran her own design and building company in London. When her family moved to Asia she retrained to design and hand stitch leather, building and distributing her own brand and forming a sustainable production line with local sourced materials. Whilst studying material science and engineering the opportunity to become and R&D manager for the Clover group- a major bra and sportswear manufacturer- arose and Julia surfed onto new opportunities once again.

As the head of R&D at Celestine, Julia and her team use all their learnt and innate skills to create opportunities and see the potential of the breathtaking new ideas and tech that's available from student inventors to housewife adapters- and they have the passion and interest to share with the team and bring to the right market.
