Preview of Energy Harvesting USA 2010 - Exclusive World Firsts

Next week the second annual IDTechEx event "Energy Harvesting & Storage USA 2010" opens in Boston, USA. Since last year, the attendance has grown by 25% at this stage and there are a total of 28 exhibitors - compared to 20 last year. Attendees from 18 countries are registered.
The conference program features major end users discussing their energy harvesting needs and experiences. For example, those attending will hear from Boeing, GE, NASA, Emerson, Schneider, Rockwell Collins and the United Technologies Research Center, to name a few.
The full range of relevant technologies are presented, with talks covering everything from "Energy Harvesting on the Sea Floor" to "Self Powered Smart Flooring Solutions". Many companies are presenting information for the first time.
The gold sponsors of the event are Infinite Power Solutions and Linear Technology. The event is co-located with the Wireless Sensor Networks and Real Time Locating Systems (RTLS) conference. Many of the companies involved in these topics are seeking to use energy harvesting to power sensors to drastically change the return on investment of the system.
