Solid-state batteries can be made thinner, flexible, and contain more energy per unit weight than conventional Li-ion. In addition, the removal of liquid electrolytes can be an avenue for safer, long-lasting batteries. With a battery market currently dominated by Asian companies, European and US firms are striving to win this arms race that might, in their view, shift added value away from Japan, China, and South Korea.

In this webinar, Dr Lorenzo Grande and Dr Bryony Core will provide an overview of the technological readiness of the main solid-state electrolytes, as well as a sneak peek into patenting activity by the major players.

Topics covered in this webinar include:
  • Basics of solid-state batteries
  • Differences between thin film and bulk batteries
  • New developments in 2017 and 2018
  • Patent landscape analysis

This webinar is based on the new IDTechEx report titled Solid-State and Polymer Batteries 2019-2029 - Technology, Patents, Forecasts.

NEW! We will be holding exactly the same webinar three times in one day. Please register for whichever session is most convenient for you.
