Jameel Rogers is a Technology Analyst at IDTechEx, focusing on topics related to advanced materials and semiconductor technologies. Before joining IDTechEx in 2024, he obtained a master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Imperial College London. He is currently based in Worthing, UK.
Jameel graduated with First Class Honors from Imperial College London with an MEng (Master of Engineering) in Materials Science and Engineering. During his Master's project, he carried out research on anode catalysts for PEM electrolysers, where he synthesised, characterised, and tested novel mixed metal oxide catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction in acidic environments. This was conducted in collaboration with the Henry Royce Institute. Adjacent to his research he studied a broad range of topics, including nanomaterials, optoelectronics, biomaterials, theory and simulation of materials, as well as optional modules in business strategy and managerial economics.
Jameel is currently part of the semiconductors, computing and AI team, focusing specifically on high performance computing (HPC).
