Starbucks to power 360 stores with solar power
Starbucks Coffee Company, Cypress Creek Renewables and US Bank are teaming up on a portfolio of solar farms across Texas. As a part of the deal, two solar farms developed, built and now operated by Cypress Creek, one of the nation's leading solar companies, are providing enough energy for the equivalent of 360 Starbucks stores in Lone Star State, including stores in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano and Arlington.

Storage of solar energy and wind power in metal powder
Hydrogen researchers are involved in a large European project on hydrogen storage. The goal is to develop a novel prototype tank that will store at least 50 kilograms of hydrogen in a minimum space. The European Union is funding the project with €2 million in the frame of the "Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking - FCH JU". Some €150,000 are earmarked for the Helmholtz researchers.

ENGIE has signed an agreement with CDC, the Gabonese financial institution Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, to deploy eight hybrid solar power plants in Gabon, representing a combined capacity of 2.2 MW.
