Technische Universität Graz (TU Graz) was founded in 1811 in Styria by Archduke John of Austria. TU Graz is a public university which offers 18 bachelors, 33 master programmes (out of which 16 are in English) and Doctoral programms in 14 Doctoral schools, all offered in English. TU Graz has over 13000 students with a good representation of 24% women and 20% international students. Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at TU Graz has excellent standing with a ranking group of 301-400 (QS world university ranking by subject 2019). TU Graz has a long tradition with energy storage research which is well-kept under the current leadership with special focus on Batteries, Fuel cells and Supercapacitors.
