Energy Storage Innovations Europe 2017
The field of battery energy storage is set to grow significantly over the coming years. The question that incumbents, raw materials suppliers, end users, and innovators are all asking themselves is whether Li-ion batteries will keep the lion's share of the market, or whether disruptive innovation will drive technology diversification according to applications.

Development avenues for electrolyte and separator systems
Supercapacitors have seen tremendous improvements over the past decade, resulting in higher power density, higher energy density and lower prices. Electrodes have seen the most amount of attention, effort and development. In this article however, we focus instead on electrolytes and separators. Directions in electrolyte research are towards high voltage, more stable and greener solutions. Similarly, separators need to improve purity and high voltage stability. This is particularly true if paper separators are to succeed. We will discuss these developments in this article.

Yunasko collaborate with Posnan University of Technology in the EU 7th Framework Project Energy Caps.
The Poznan University of Technology, located in Poznan, is one of the leading technical universities in Poland. The university comprises 9 faculties, over 1.000 academic teachers, and 20.000 students. The team of the Institute of Chemistry and Technical Electrochemistry ICTE) - Division of Applied Electrochemistry, is a partner in the Energy Caps project. The research group has a long term tradition in energy storage relating to different types of chemical power sources and developed a special expertise in the electrochemical characterization of supercapacitors (functioning, performances and lifetime).Other topics of interest are the synthesis of nanocomposites with graphenes, conducting polymers, oxides and metallic films/particles, the chemical and physical activation of carbon materials, the electrochemical modification of carbon materials, and investigation of laboratory models of power sources (determination of main parameters such as capacity, cyclabilty, self-discharge ....).
