Speaker Biography (David Merchin)
David MERCHIN holds a degree in Engineering from the School of Mines of Nancy in France, a Master of Science in Materials Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA, and an executive diploma in marketing from French economic school HEC.
After 5 years of consulting in marketing of innovation, projects funding and competitive intelligence David joined Umicore in 2009 as a Technical Market Researcher within Rechargeable Battery Materials (RBM) business unit.
He worked two years as Global Innovation Manager with the CTO and is now Emerging Applications Manager focusing on technical and market lithium-ion batteries evolution.
He is also Applied Technology Manager in charge of technical discussions with French players.
