Presentation Summary

  • US based AJJER LLC is developing ultra low power electrochromic (EC) displays and indicators which will be able to operate in conjunction with passive RFID chips within their range of less than 5mW and typical voltage outputted lower than 2.4V.
  • The displays can be fully printed, and consist of three layers including the conductive layers. ECs are non emissive, allowing them to be read easily in bright light and providing wide viewing angles.
  • The company is focusing on developing monochrome EC displays initially, with versions which are bi stable (power is only needed to change the display) being stable for months; to a single switch version which once changed will not change back again, useful for threshold and warning indicators.

Speaker Biography (Anoop Agrawal)

In addition, Dr. Agrawal was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Arizona's Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering and has invented/co-invented 50 patents.

Dr. Agrawal earned his Sc.D. (Doctor of Science) in Materials Science and Engineering, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; an M.S. in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelors Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (New Delhi, India).

Company Profile (AJJER, LLC)

AJJER, LLC logo
AJJER is a materials development company with over 60 man years of experience with electrochromic (EC) technology. AJJER principals were instrumental in developing EC automotive mirrors for Donnelly Corporation, which has been the most successful commercial application of this technology. Our current focus is on development of EC materials for inexpensive display technologies for printed electronics that can be used for labels and tags. We work with printed electronics manufacturers and end-users by providing EC materials and related knowhow.
