Speaker Biography (Drew Corbyn)
Drew joined GOGLA in early 2018 with more than 10 years working in the off-grid light and power sector. He has a focus on catalysing markets and private sector development, and a firm belief that quality products and services are at the heart of market development.
As a development consultant he has provided assistance to companies, governments, donors and NGOs. Drew helped establish Malawi's first independent power provider - a hydro mini-grid social enterprise - and supported six off-grid lighting companies in the country. He's authored numerous publications and articles on topics including market intelligence, policy guidance and advocacy.
Drew holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Nottingham and has lived and worked in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe. His love for the mountains has brought him to live in the Netherlands.
