Thermal management is an essential consideration for several technologies and markets. This could include anything from keeping high power computing components cool, to warming up an electric vehicle (EV) battery in cold climates. For companies that provide thermal management materials, components, or the final product, it is critical to understand thermal management requirements and trends in emerging technology markets. These markets are not just growing rapidly in volume, but also exhibiting an evolution of their design and properties.

 

Some examples include EV batteries moving towards more integrated designs with a cell-to-pack approach, electric motors increasingly becoming oil cooled, data centers moving to higher power chips, greater levels of autonomy pushing vehicle sensor quantity and integration.
