Bio
Pranav is a Technology Analyst at IDTechEx, focusing on electric vehicle and energy storage technologies. Pranav graduated from Imperial College London with an MEng in Chemical Engineering. Prior to joining IDTechEx in 2023, he worked as a market intelligence analyst for a leading financial technology company, developing experience in identifying short and medium-term market opportunities. He is currently based in London, UK.
Education
Pranav graduated with First Class Honors from Imperial College London with an MEng in Chemical Engineering. In his final year, he conducted research on reductive catalytic fractionation as an emerging biorefinery strategy. He also worked with a small team in the design of a novel large-scale blue hydrogen manufacturing process as part of his final year design project.
Research
At IDTechEx, Pranav's work focuses on electric vehicles and battery technology, with particular emphasis on electrification of off-highway machinery including reports on EVs in Mining, EVs in Construction, and Battery Markets for Construction, Agriculture, and Mining Machines.
Pranav has also authored reports on Micro EVs and Additives for Li-ion Batteries & PFAS-Free Batteries. He continues to attend events to carry out research and present IDTechEx's research findings at conferences.

‒ Assessing market size and demand growth for batteries, motors, and inverters in electric off-highway machinery for a major conglomerate. This included sizing and benchmarking of key technologies across all three components for various machine types in construction, agriculture, and mining, and developing detailed market forecasts.
