Increasing Transmission Of Electromagnetic Signals Through Thermal Insulation Glass

The usage of thermal insulation glass in modern architecture brought along a reduction of the signal transmissibility and created difficulties for smart phone usage inside a building. We propose a solution using an intelligent surface on removable films. A technology of frequency selective surface (FSS) improves the transmission of the signal at multiple cellular frequencies. The transmission is improving by 15dB allowing mobile communication once the film is simply put on the inside of the window.
Speaker Biography (Do Hanh Ngan Bui)
Do Hanh Ngan BUI received the M.Sc, degree in microwaves from the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INPG), Grenoble, France in 2009 and the Ph.D. degree in radiofrequency from the University Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble, France in 2017. Since then, she has been working as researcher at the IMEP-LAHC laboratory, Grenoble, France. Her research field includes energy harvesting and printed electronics.
