Speaker Biography (Patric Stafshede)
Mr. Stafshede is the CEO of LunaLEC AB in Sweden.
After a MSc in Chemical Engineering, at Chalmers, Sweden, Mr. Stafshede has worked with business development for Tetra Laval´s milking equipment division (De Laval) in Moscow, Russia, with McKinsey & Co as a management consultant in Los Angeles and Stockholm, before joining the US utility Entergy Corp. in Houston, TX responsible for strategic fuel sourcing. Since 2008 Mr. Stafshede is back in Sweden working with tech start-ups and since 2013 as CEO for LunaLEC.
Company Profile (LunaLEC)
LunaLEC AB is a spin-off from Umeå University in Northern Sweden, developing light-emitting patches based on the light-emitting electrochemical cell (LEC). The LEC is very similar to a large OLED pixel, or an OLED panel for lighting. A sandwich construction with an active layer in between two electrodes. However, it consists of no more than three layers, all printable from solutions in ambient condition. LunaLEC developed a spraying technology which enables the deposition of electrodes and active layer on flexible barrier substrates in ambient conditions. LunaLEC was named one of Sweden's hottest start-ups in 2017 by the tech magazine NyTeknik.
