FlexEnable Discusses Flexible Printed Backplanes at the IDTechEx Show!
Video interview with FlexEnable at the IDTechEx Show! (27-28 April, 2016 | Berlin, Germany).
Jul 06, 2016
Dr. Paul Cain of FlexEnable talks with Sri Peruvemba about flexible backplanes at the IDTechEx Show! In Berlin. FlexEnable has enabled a method for printing organic transistors on plastic, allowing them to create a durable, flexible display. Mobile devices and wearables are likely to be the first applications as they offer a more durable and lightweight form factor than glass based displays. The electronics in the backplane can be used across a variety of display types, including LCDs, OLED and electrophoretic displays.
FlexEnable has developed the world's first industrially-proven organic transistor technology platform: the key to truly flexible and cost-effective electronics over large and small surfaces.
Our vision is to enable active surfaces in our lives: in our homes, our cars, our workplaces and even on our bodies. The ability to seamlessly integrate electronics with everyday objects can only be achieved with flexible electronics. FlexEnable works together with customers to drive innovation across video-rate displays, flexible sensors and smart systems. Our proven flexible electronics technology platform enables new mobile products, wearables, surface displays and imaging systems.
