Dukosi cell monitoring system technology allows the life history of every cell to be recorded, within the cell, from manufacture through first and second life to recycling. This removes the need to test packs prior to second life use, you just need to ask the cells about their condition. The talk will explore what data can be kept, what it might signify and how it can be used to increase second life value.
Speaker Biography (Joel Sylvester)
Joel is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the IET, with 30 years experience in the electronics industry.
Prior to joining Dukosi as lead engineer on its conception in 2003, he was Head of Electronics at the UK Astronomy Technology Centre, designing electronic systems for imagers and spectrometers, and at Elektrobit designing systems and circuits for the communications industry. He has specialised in systems engineering and mixed signal integrated circuit design across a diverse range of projects including, more recently, battery management systems.
For Dukosi, Joel is Chief Technology Officer, leading the team and building the technology using his expertise, enthusiasm, and drive to expand his own and his teams knowledge. He has spoken about the technology at a numerous events, including trade shows and within academia.
