For CCS advanced chemical sensor arrays concerning sensor performance, size, power consumption or price are needed. The chemisensitive layers of the sensors in the array have to be versatile and should allow for a broad materials variation. In the talk novel chemisensitive coatings based on graphene, nanoparticle networks or nanoporous metal organic materials for cyber chemical systems are presented. The "Institute for Electronics and Sensormaterials" (IESM) focuses on the development of high-tech materials for advanced applications in the field of electronics, separation and sensing. The institute is dedicated to the scientific education in the Diploma program "Nanotechnology" and the Master program "Electronics and Sensor Materials" and consists of 1800m2 lab and office area and in a 400 m2 clean room for research. The institute is equipped with various instruments for materials synthesis, coating, characterisation and has sensor test equipment for single gas tests, for testing gas mixtures as well as for sensor tests in liquids. The clean room is equipped with all standard instruments needed for CMOS processes. Additionally, large mechanical and electrical workshops are available. |
