World's first hydrogen fuel cell train
The Coradia iLint, built by Alstom in Salzgitter, Germany, is equipped with fuel cells which convert hydrogen and oxygen into electricity, thus eliminating pollutant emissions related to propulsion. From 17 September onwards, two such trains will enter commercial service according to a fixed timetable in Lower Saxony.
More torque for hydrogen-powered vehicles
IDTechEx Research has just published a new report 'Fuel Cell Vehicles 2019-2029'. Fuel cells are commercially successful in stationary applications but commercially unsuccessful in vehicles, beyond a few thousand purchased for material handling vehicles, notably forklifts.

A report from UITP-Busworld 2017
UITP-Busworld 2017 took place at Kortrijk Expo from the 23rd to the 25th October 2017. Running for over 40 years it is the worlds oldest and largest bus and coach exhibition. This year UITP and Busworld announced the first collaboration of their international bus conference in parallel to the Busworld exhibition.
Analyst Aman Atak was there to learn about new developments and products, as well as attending the conference, in parallel, on the outlook of electric buses in China.

Controlling this response is crucial to many applications, including 3-D printing, the spraying of some surface coatings, and the prevention of ice formation on structures such as airplane wings, wind turbines, or power lines.
