NGK has developed the novel chip-type ceramic rechargeable batteries suitable for IoT application. The features of NGK's battery are high energy density, resistance to high temperature and availability of CV (constant voltage) charging. Ultrathin chip type batteries are bendable, and tiny coin type batteries are available for reflow soldering.
Iwao Ohwada is General Manager of New Business Development Project, Electronics Business Group.
He is in charge of the marketing of the chip-type ceramic batteries.
