Protecting worker health and safety means continuously monitoring, gathering, and analyzing situational data from environmental conditions and worker bodily functions in vast, structurally dense settings. This requires wireless, low-power transmission from hundreds or thousands of sensors. This presentation will examine the role of LPWAN in facilitating this communication in up to a 20km radius, enabling the transmission of 1.8 million messages/day.
