Wearable technologies have only been in the mainstream for 4+ years now and we are already asking the question: "why hasn't it hit the mass market yet"? We'll look at the current feature sets that are not driving widespread adoption and what are the new use cases of the next gen devices that will enable more widespread adoption. We'll discuss how the sensor platform system solutions from InvenSense will deliver some of the next gen context awareness, vital sign monitoring, and power savings necessary to move the market from the early adopter phase to the high volume consumer mainstream. We'll also look into the end-to-end business model for the wearable platform. At InvenSense, we thought if we can help our customers succeed in their wearable cloud business model, we can become more than just a sensor vendor to our customers. We'll discuss how sensor platform system solutions (sensors + SW) will help the OEM with the monetization of their cloud based business model.
