BotFactory is pushing the frontiers of additive manufacturing with SV2, its new desktop Electronics prototyping machine. SV2 prints electrical traces and picks-and-places components to build a whole PCB board in a few hours. The presentation will cover the challenges of ink-based electronics, a relevant topic for hybrid-PCBs and flex-hybrid-PCBs, as well as the innovations made for SV2 including high-count multi-layering, smart area stiffening and soldering. This presentation will present state of the art developments and will explain what they mean for the future of Electronics.
Speaker Biography (Carlos Ospina)
Carlos Ospina is a Co-Founder and the CTO at BotFactory Inc. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from Universidad de los Andes at Bogota, Colombia. He also has a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering from the Tandon School of Engineering at NYU and a Master's in Business and Science from Rutgers University. His current interests include electronics design, software development and Agile methodologies for both hardware and software development. He is currently leading the team that created Squink, a desktop device that enables rapid prototyping of electronic circuits.
