Continuous Composites is a rapidly growing tech startup company located in Northern Idaho developing our patented Continuous Fiber 3D Printing (CF3D™) technology. We are developing revolutionary technology that combines high-strength, low-weight composite materials with a 3D printing process leveraging industrial robotics. This ground-breaking technology is truly The Future of Manufacturing.
Speaker Biography (Colin Hambling)
Colin has a BS in Physics and Economics, and a M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering. His undergraduate research involved fluid dynamics and his M.Sc. thesis focused on the experimental investigation of a baffled tube ram accelerator. Colin brings an aerospace engineering perspective to the team and supports strategic business development.
Company Profile (Continuous Composites)
Owning the earliest patent on 3D printing continuous fibers; our technology, Continuous Fiber 3D Printing (CF3D™), constitutes a fundamental shift in the manufacturing process of Advanced Composite Materials (ACM). Our technology leverages rapid curing resins paired with continuous fibers creating a moldless, Out of Autoclave (OOA) composite manufacturing process. CF3D™ can also embed functionality with fiber optics and copper wires creating a part that can sense and react to environmental stimuli.
