How the addition of graphene has the potential to significantly improve the properties of concrete. Research to date has seen results that include improvement in compressive strength by a factor of 2, a doubling of its flexural strength, a 4 fold decrease in water permeability, as well as improved electrical and thermal performance. At the same time, a significant decrease in carbon emissions through a 50% reduction in the quantity of materials required to make the material.
