Speaker Biography (Shuxiang Dong)Dr. Shuxiang Dong is a professor of the Advanced Materials & Nanotechnology of College of Engineering at Peking University. He received his B.S. degree in semiconductor physics from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 1982, and M.S. degree in acoustics physics and Ph.D. degree in electronic materials and devices from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1989 and 1993, respectively. Dr. Dong was a recipient of a first place award of 2000 Advances in Materials Poster at Materials Research Laboratory, Pennsylvania State University, State College, PA. He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed papers and 13 patents. His research interests include energy harvesters, transducers and sensors, piezoelectric actuators and ultrasonic motors, and other functional devices.
