Tours

We will be hosting tours on Monday, November 13 to some of the leading organizations working on emerging technologies in Silicon Valley.

Each of the tours are limited to 25 people and are offered to attendees at the IDTechEx Show! only.

Tour 1 will depart at 12:30pm, Tour 2 will depart at 2:00pm and Tour 3 will depart at 12:00pm from the IDTechEx Show! Registration Desk at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Transport will be provided. Each tour is expected to last approx. 3 hours and you will be returned back to the Santa Clara Convention Center at the end of the tour.

How to apply

You must be registered for the event before being accepted for a place on the tours.

Tour 1. Monday, November 13

Kateeva

You will tour Kateeva's Global Headquarters in Newark. The multi-building campus combines business operations, as well as development and manufacturing operations in one location. The tour begins with a brief overview of Kateeva and its inkjet printing manufacturing equipment solution. From there, visitors will view four core components of Kateeva's operations, outlined below. They'll leave with a good snapshot of the business of innovating and building a complex manufacturing equipment solution for OLED mass-production.

Tour highlights
  • Process Lab. A mini-fab with state-of-the-art tools that are used to create finished devices in which the charge transport and emitting layers are deposited by inkjet printing.
  • Ink Lab . Kateeva formulates inks for OLED thin film encapsulation and future additional applications at its HQ. A brief description of Kateeva's capabilities will be described.
  • Engineering Lab. This is where Kateeva's large-size inkjet printing system development is done. A description of the systems currently in the lab will be provided.
  • Manufacturing Floor . A basic description of the manufacturing tools will be given, and capabilities highlighted

Tour 2. Monday, November 13

Google, Apple and Intel's public spaces

This tour will allow you to visit some of the giants of Silicon Valley. We will be running a bus tour first to Google where you will see their android sculpture garden. There is also a google shop selling everything you could imagine with google and YouTube branding. Next you will visit the new Apple visitor center which has an Apple shop selling souvenirs that you can only buy here as well as a café and a viewing platform to see into the middle of Apple Park. Finally you will visit the fascinating Intel Museum before we return you back to the Santa Clara Convention Center.
