Come tour the historic Rohsenow Kendall Heat Transfer Lab, one of the oldest labs at MIT. Renovated in the summer of 2010, the lab now features some of the newest facilities in the Mechanical Engineering department. On the tour, you will learn about cutting edge research in the field of heat transfer, including thermoelectric solid-state heat-to-electricity conversion, near-field thermal radiation, solar-thermal systems design, laser-based picosecond thermometry, and desalination.

WiTricity will showcase a variety of wirelessly powered prototypes ranging from consumer electronics to electric vehicles.
WiTricity Corporation designs, develops, manufactures, and markets technology for wireless energy transfer. Founded in 2007, the company is commercializing patented technology invented by a team of world renowned MIT physicists. This technology utilizes magnetism to transfer energy without wires in a way that is safe, efficient, and that works over distance
