SiNode Systems has demonstrated a novel Si-based negative-electrode materials technology that has the potential to meet cell manufacturer targets for high energy and high power applications. SiNode's technology utilizes a proprietary silicon-graphene material architecture to achieve category-leading performance and overcome long-standing Si anode technical hurdles.
Samir Mayekar is the Co-Founder and CEO of SiNode Systems. Prior to SiNode, Samir served in the Obama Administration at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and the White House. Samir started his career as a management consultant in Chicago focusing on clients in the industrials sector. Samir holds a B.A. from Northwestern University (summa cum laude) and an M.B.A. with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management, where he was a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow. He is a guest lecturer on energy and entrepreneurship at Northwestern University and the University of Illinois.
SiNode Systems is a battery materials company developing silicon-graphene anodes for the next generation of lithium-ion batteries. SiNode anodes offer higher battery capacity and faster charging rates, all while being produced via a low cost solution chemistry-based manufacturing process. SiNode seeks to change the landscape for lithium-ion batteries so they can meet the demands of a wide range of industries, from consumer electronics to electric vehicles.
