The Helmholtz Innovation Lab HySPRINT (Hybrid Silicon Perovskite Research, Integration & Novel Technologies) is a platform for cooperation with industrial partners where novel materials and energy-efficient process technologies are being developed for application fields such as solar energy conversion, life sciences, displays and sensor arrays. We have achieved world record results in perovskite/silicon hybrid technology. Also, we produced leading results in liquid phase crystallization of silicon and nanoimprint lithography. HySPRINT is open for additional industrial partners and provides state-of-the-art application-oriented research, development and technology transfer.
Dr. Paul Harten currently is Project Manager at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, responsible for start-up creation. Before joining HZB he was Managing Director at LIMO Lissotschenko Mikrooptik GmbH in Dortmund, Germany. Dr. Harten has a Ph.D. in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona and authored 18 publications and 37 patents and patent applications.
Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB) is a research centre for energy materials research, thus contributing to knowledge-based solutions, and it provides large-scale research infrastructure for the national as well as international scientific community and industry. HZB employs about 1200 people and has got an annual budget of about 146 million Euros. HZB is a member of the Helmholtz Association - Germany's largest scientific organisation. In order to stimulate technology transfer the Helmholtz Association has recently established seven Innovation Labs. HZB runs one of them - namely the Helmholtz Innovation Lab HySPRINT.
