Women in STEM

IDTechEx is proud to host our first Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) event at the IDTechEx Show! USA 2017. "Women in STEM: Aspire to Inspire" is an informal event to facilitate networking between prominent women in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM), promote the sharing of ideas and support progress. "Women in STEM: Aspire to Inspire" will be held on Wednesday, November 15 from 4 to 5pm in the food and drinks area, hall C of the exhibition hall.

Although many strides forward have been taken, women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics continue to face challenges to achieve the same recognition and status as their male peers, despite the general consensus that increasing a team's diversity creates a competitive advantage for organizations.

Recent years have seen the emergence of a number of recent high-profile campaigns lending support to the cause; however, there is still a long road ahead before complete equality is achieved and success is based on merit.
