Dr Dimitris Presvytis is the Research Team Leader in the Advanced Materials Division of Thomas Swan & Co. Ltd. Dimitris received his degree from the Materials Science Department at University of Patras, Greece. He went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering and to complete a PhD on Fuel Cell technology in the same university. He joined Thomas Swan in 2015 after working in Research and Development on various fields including water electrolysis, fuel cells and aerospace. The team that Dimitris leads within Thomas Swan is focusing on developing graphene and 2D boron nitride products that add value to a range of industrial applications and are easy to use and formulate.
Thomas Swan is a major independent manufacturer of performance and speciality chemicals. The Advanced Materials Division is dedicated to the reliable supply of high performance materials into new and emerging markets. Our leading carbon nanotube products, Elicarb® SWNTs are high quality materials manufactured at scale. In 2014, we launched Elicarb® Graphene a few layer graphene nanoplatelet product followed by a range of Elicarb® Graphene grades in 2015. We have also recently launched 2D boron nitride, our first non-carbon 2D product.
