PriMeBits
The PriMeBits project is being coordinated by the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

In the PriMeBits project, a printable electric low-voltage nonvolatile memory is developed for printed sensor, media and wireless-ID applications. The main strategy is to utilize printed technology where it has a competitive advantage compared to silicon technology. The project builds on basic research of new materials and components and takes the results into prototyping of new applications. To reduce the research risk, two different technologies for the memory functionality are considered with partially overlapping application areas. Project focuses on inorganic metaloxide nanoparticle-based ferroelectric FRAM memory and a resistive metallic-based write-once-read-many (WORM) memory.

Sequ-EL
Introducing Sequ-EL™; a slim line modular lighting system used to sequence, drive and design with electroluminescent panel (EL), without the requirement for any specialist technical knowledge.

A windows compatible PC software can be used to create and edit different light sequences, and lighting effects can be triggered by a range of interactive switches (sound, motion, pressure etc). This unique software package enables designers to incorporate EL into their products without any specialist technical knowledge. As the module is smaller and more compact than existing alternatives for driving EL, this will broaden the scope and versatility of using EL in product design and facilitate novel and innovative lighting displays for advertising and branding.

Sequ-EL and other associated products have been developed as part of a spin-off from London Southbank University.
