These tours will be run during the lunchtime break between the IDTechEx Masterclasses on November 12
and November 15.
Places on the tour are on a first come first served basis with preference given to delegates on the Masterclasses. These tours are extremely popular – so please
register early to guarantee your place.

Fujifilm Dimatix | November 15th
The FUJIFILM Dimatix tour provides an overview of the company, its
products and its people with a walk-through of its manufacturing
facility. FUJIFILM Dimatix’s MEMS-based technology lets ink jet printing
create products like displays and electronics, RFID antennas, smart
tags, DNA arrays, smart packaging and wearable electronics. The DMP-2831
is a low-cost, cartridge-based piezo ink jet printing system that
enables direct deposition of functional fluids – including nanoparticle-based
metallic and organic materials. A new DMP system to be introduced later
this year will also be on view.

The Artificial Muscle, Inc. tour will include live demonstrations of Electroactive Polymer Artificial Muscle (EPAM) actuators including MLP9.5 auto-focus actuator for cell phone cameras, expanding circles, the Universal Muscle Actuator (UMA) configuration, and other novel configurations and applications. The tour will also include a walk-through of the AMI manufacturing and testing facilities. Automated manufacturing equipment that is currently under development for high volume production of EPAM actuators will be shown.
