Winners of IDTechEx Launchpad

Twelve early-stage organizations will be selected for the IDTechEx Launchpad, an exciting initiative that provides them the opportunity to showcase prototypes and demonstrations of their new products.

Free for eligible organizations

The IDTechEx Launchpad will give researchers and young companies the ability to demonstrate their state-of-the-art technologies to over 3,500 people at this international event. It is FREE for eligible researchers and companies to participate. Spaces are limited to 10 table-top displays, which will be featured in the exhibition hall, alongside an estimated 270 exhibitors.

Who can apply

Participants should be early-stage start-ups, universities, newly spun-out companies, research labs and government labs who will be demonstrating a working prototype or product that highlights new advances in any related event topic of wearable technology, IoT, printed electronics, graphene, electric vehicles, sensors or energy storage. It can include, for example, e-textiles, smart eyewear, stretchable electronics, innovative sensor systems, flexible displays, smart packaging and more.

What's included

The panel of judges will assess each entry application based on parameters such as technical advancement and audience interest. If accepted, each entrant will receive a free exhibitor place in the IDTechEx Launchpad zone. The 49 sq ft exhibit space will include a counter, 2 chairs, electric, and two passes to the conference and exhibition, and promotion as an IDTechEx Launchpad exhibitor. A suitably knowledgeable person of the organisation must be present at the area to demonstrate the technology during the exhibition hours. Successful applicants will need to cover their own travel and lodging cost in addition to any costs of the products shown including signage.

Helping launch new business

Why are we doing this? IDTechEx recognize that it can be difficult for very small companies or research organizations to show their big advances in the traditional manner of exhibiting where no budget may be assigned. The IDTechEx Launchpad will give such entities the ability to reach the international audience, and for the community to see the state-of-the-art systems.

How to apply

The submission should comprise of a summary/abstract along with the application, including supporting materials. It must state which demonstrators will be shown.

The closing date for submissions is September 20. Successful selected entrants will be notified and will need to confirm their participation by the date specified.
