Soteria is forming a consortium of interested companies to bring the technology forward. Initial members include Daimler, NASA, DuPont, Novelis, Voith, Ingevity, Spectra Power and DNV-GL. These companies and others will provide materials, equipment and expertise and license the technology so that an appropriately broad supply chain can be set up to supply the global battery and automotive industries.
Dr. Brian Morin, CEO of Soteria, is a serial entrepreneur, having co-founded Dreamweaver in 2011 and Innegrity in 2004, serving as President or CEO of both. He is an inventor on over 200 patents and applications, and his inventions have gathered over $1 billion in product sales. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in materials physics from The Ohio State University. He received his B.S. degree in physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and was in the fourth graduating class of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.
Soteria Battery Innovation Group Members are dedicated to enabling portable electric power without the risk of fires, no matter the circumstances. Our material architecture eliminates the spark inside a battery that can cause fires.
We are different. Our goal is to make these materials available to every battery manufacturer from a broad supply base so every device can have a battery that is virtually impossible to self-ignite.
We will ensure these materials are used responsibly by setting world-class safety standards so that device manufacturers and consumers will know they have the safest electric storage, no matter what.
