Additive manufacturing (AM) or 3D printing is a transformative technology. Learn how a linear LED lighting manufacture leverages AM technology to cost effectively produce key product components used in advanced LED lighting systems. What were the key considerations for using AM technology to solve manufacturing limitations? See real-world examples of components manufactured to meet customer needs and understand the engineering challenges that were faced. Critical issues such as maintenance, runtime optimization and support material removal will also be examined. Additionally, examples will be presented whereby rapid turnaround of engineering design changes were done to optimize performance of LED light solutions for end-customer application requirements.
