Dr. Marin Sawa is currently a research associate at the Chemical Engineering Department, Imperial College London.
Marin holds a PhD in the intersection of design and algal biotechnology (2016) and is the main inventor of the digitally printable thin-film biophotovoltaic technology (2012-2016) and leads the project which has gained EPSRC IAA research funding for further development in industry partnership with Arm (2018 -).
Imperial College London is consistently ranked in the top 10 in the world. The Electrochemical Science & Engineering group is an interdisciplinary partnership between 4 academics across 3 departments, working together to develop the tools and techniques that industry need to successfully commercialise technologies based upon electrochemical systems.
