Stephen Nestinger joined Velodyne LiDAR in 2014 and currently serves as the Director of Mechanical Engineering. He has contributed to the design, development, and production of Velodyne's world renowned LiDAR sensors. Before joining Velodyne LiDAR, Stephen was an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department and Robotics Engineering Program at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he conducted research on collaborative and coordinated control of multi-robot systems. He has authored multiple journal and conference publications, and as a member of ASME and IEEE, has served as Symposium Chairs and Session Chairs for several international conferences.
Stephen holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Davis
